Philosophy

My goal is to provide you with the tools, knowledge and support you need to advance your mission and sustain a vibrant, healthy, effective organization.

These principles guide my approach:

Your people are the glue.

They are your greatest asset.  Healthy relationships are the backbone of success for all growing organizations. Tailoring strategies to the personalities and skills of the people on your team will make them more successful.

Resource development is the canary in the coal mine.

If your mission is muddy or your programs are struggling, it’s difficult to convince people to invest in you. Conversely, when your programs are thriving and your leadership is strong, the money follows. Whether its sales in your business or fundraising in your nonprofit, your ability to generate resources is an indicator of the overall vitality of your organization.

Active listening leads to the best solutions.

I believe that listening deeply is the key to a client centered approach and our ability to create practical, nimble solutions together.  Listening leads to understanding and empathy, which open us up to fresh approaches.

Humor is the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down.

It is the tool that helps to keep things in perspective.   Humor makes processes fun and engaging, even when the work is difficult.

Relax, you’ll get there.

Positive change doesn’t happen overnight.  But, it will happen when you’re supported in your efforts to implement strategic actions, leading to the outcome you seek.

I’m here to help.
